Waterfalls in Chiang Mai - Thailand
« on: June 25, 2011, 12:52:15 AM »
In all the touristic catalogs, Chiang Mai is advertised with waterfalls. Well, I don't know if we were taken to the best or not, but we were not impressed. It's a healthy small walk in natural environment, which means a nice stop, but not a "must see"

Hey i would like to inform about the place something i came to know about..
There are more than 12 waterfalls in Chiangmai. Some are 750 meters above sea level water with water splash cascades down tiers after tiers and the white of racing water stands out dramatically against the deep green of the surrounding forest. As the water hits the rocks below, a million split the sunlight into rainbow colors and soak the vegetation nearby. Downstream from the falls are a series of pools where swimming is possible in the chilly mountain water. Most of these waterfall is reachable by motorcar and some have public transportation.
hope u would like the place..
thanks.

Northern Thailand certainly has the mountains, and plenty of water, which together produce some of the country’s loveliest waterfalls.
