Looking north-east over Melbourne CBD from Skydeck 88, with reflections in the tower's gold plated windows

Eureka Tower, using the Greek expression made famous by Archimedes, named after the 1854 discovery of Gold in Victoria and the famous battle at the Eureka Stockade for their rights by miners. Located in Southbank at the Riverside Quay, on the south side of the Yarra River, (not that you can miss it) this building was first opened in 2006 and stands at a height of 300 metres.

- 34th tallest building in the world
- Tallest building of Melbourne
- construction began in August of 2001
- the building weighs 200,000 tonnes;
- 5,000 tonnes of reinforced steel and 110,000 tonnes of concrete

-And Much more to explore... Please visit the glorious tower...
