Not too long ago, two mothers from Barcelona took it upon themselves to map out the places in Barcelona that are adequate for small children and infants. How many of you have barred yourselves from having fun because you couldn't find a sitter? 5. ELS PESCADORSPoble Nou area
They offer a great menu of fresh produce and Catalan food at a great price. They also have a kids menu and they are used to big families coming and dinning. Laid back atmosphere.
4. MUSEU MARITIMEnd of the ramblas
They actually have a place in the back of the Museum where they have a full garden full of cypres trees, benches, and even a life sized historical replica of an old submarine. Their restaurant offers a 10 € menu during the day that is delicious and fantastic on a sunny day in the middle of the city. Definitely a surprise at the end of the Rambla.
3. KIOSKO BURGERMarques de l'argentera
Gourmet hamburgers..mmm.... amazing and also a quick way to fill up without spending too much time in a restaurant. Plus, it's located right next to the Park de la Ciutadella so you can walk off the calories and run around with your child when you are done.
2. BAR LOVENTORambla de Poble Nou, 21
Tapas with your baby is possible with the lovely pedestrian walkway which is the Rambla de Poble Nou, the various green areas and some parks...and of course the outdoor cafés. This restaurant is particularly great for kids as they have high chairs and a changing room.
1. PICNICCarrer Comerç 1
High chairs, fun plates, a rocking horse, magazines, colored pencils, this is probably the most kid friendly place in the Born area. They offer really great pancakes in their brunch menu and mimosas. Great place to get a sophisticated brunch with your family on the weekends.
