What's your favorite European city?
« on: April 16, 2011, 04:59:20 AM »
I know the most popular cities in Europe, but I am wondering about the reason/s why each one choose his favorite ...

My chouse is Paris, because I don't think there is another city that looks so good at night...

I have a feeling I may get some interesting answers...

I like  London. Its the best city of the world. You can definitely visit London for one time with your family or friends. Here are lots of places to visit. One of London's most popular tourist attractions, Buckingham Palace is the most famous of all the places in London. Whether you like heritage, royalty, architecture, musicals, clubbing, parks or just a good old shopping trip, London has it all.

I would add Venice! I know it must be on nearly everyone's list, but it's really magical. Last June we arrived late in the evening, after dark and just wandered around. We walked through a little alleyway and found ourselves in St. Mark's Square with the floodlights on the Basilica and four orchestras playing. Just watching the daily lives of the Venetians as they carry building materials in gondolas and all the essential supplies to the hotels is fascinating - leaving aside the fabulous architecture and art.
its a beautiful city..
thanks......

I think Barcelona has so much to offer it's definitely one of my favourites.  The architecture, the food the nightlife are all great and the face that its a big city but still has a relatively clean beach nearby is a bonus.

I also love Paris, indeed for its beauty at night, but also for its cultural life (opera, theatre, museums) and its own culture : all the little streets, shops and beautiful monuments you an discover outside the touristic area.
Need your help for my master thesis on travel forums, could you answer my survey (only 5-10mins!) : https://survey.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_1XJmDHOFH9c9xYM. Thanks !! :)
