Many devotees go on their feet from Tirupati to Tirumala for the ‘Darshan’. They will have to go through the Alipiri toll gate, from where the steps to the main temple begin. However, if you wish to go through bus, there are free bus services from Tirupati Railway Station run by the state transport corporation. You can keep your luggage at the TTD transport office on the behalf of a receipt. This is also free service offered by TTD transport.
