  We are going   to start saving every spare penny we can in hopes of one day being able   to witness some of these amazing festivals firsthand. People bathing in   tomatoes and sandcastle sculptures big enough to live in definitely   aren't things you see every day. For now, get ready to have your jaw   drop to the floor as you check out these amazing festival pics. Then   dust off your piggy bank.

  It   almost seems worth putting on your scarf, ear muffs, long underwear,   sweater, jacket, hat, and boots just to come out in the frigid weather   to see the beautiful display of light-up snowflakes and other wintry   delights.

  These   men have to have impeccable skin once they emerge from the sludge at the   mud festival. People pay good money for bathing in mud at fancy spas,   so we think these dudes have the right DIY method down.

  It's not   your eyes, or the light. These people all have a red tinge because they   are covered in juicy tomatoes. This festival just looks like an excuse   to get half-naked and play with your food. No parents allowed, they'll   ruin the fun.

  Ok,   ok. We might not really want to fly across the world to see these robust   gentlemen freeze their behinds off, but this is pretty hilarious (our   polite way of saying "insane"). Focus on the funny hats and you'll be   booking your plane ticket tomorrow for the ice swim.

  We find it   hard to believe that orange jumpsuits can look like anything but   prisoner's garb, but these dancers pull them off. This we would actually   pay to see.
