Traveling With Your Pet
« on: July 17, 2011, 10:53:16 PM »
hello guys,
I have always had pets in my home. We had many of them growing up, and my children have had pets all their lives. When we lost our dog a few years ago, we decided we were done with having animals because we wanted to take advantage of being empty-nesters and start traveling more. We have enjoyed our freedom...but nowadays, you don't need to worry about what to do with your pets when you go somewhere, whether for business or pleasure. Just take them with you!!So many places are now thrilled to accommodate you and your pet. Hotels have doggy treats at the check in desk, small dogs and cats can be in the cabin with you when you fly. Leaving them home alone is no longer your only option.
My daughter's best friend is a 40lb pound puppy named Koopa. The two are inseparable and I can't imagine them ever having to be apart for more than a day or so. Fortunately, when my daughter travels, the dog goes too. I also have a friend that refuses to go anywhere because she can't stand the thought of leaving her pets behind. I have not been able to convince her that she doesn't have to, but I will continue to work on it!

Pets are usually a kind of nuisance for travelers specially if they are to be pampered more often. While some dogs that are used to walking and adventuring with owners are also hard to maintain especially for overseas and out of the country travel. So it's a nice suggestion to just let your local pet sitter take care of your pet while you enjoy your travel.

Though pets are nuisance, we are not going to have them with us forever while flying. There are many airlines which accept pets. I would suggest to take them when airlines permit.
