Warmest Canadian Cities
« on: January 16, 2011, 10:01:05 PM »
I have lived in almost every province in Canada including the ocean front on both coasts and I have to say that although they all have good points Victoria through to Sooke B.C. has to be the prettiest and cleanest place I've seen. There is so much to do and see there and the scenery is absolutely beautiful.  It rarely snows and is has the mildest year round weather. Southern Ontario is very hot in the summer, but the hottest area is in the Kelowna/ Vernon area of the Okanagan in southern B.C. I lived there for two years and the temperatures reach up to approximately 38- 43 degrees Fahrenheit consistently throughout most of the summer. It's a very dry heat whereas southern Ontario is very humid. and the high temperatures there comes in waves with cooler temperatures in between.

I think Vancouver Island is the warmest place in Canada; Southeast coast of Vancouver Island only gets snow probably 2--3 times/ a year. Coldest temperature no over there is more than ?C10 degree.

both coasts east and west are the mildest weather. they are also the wettest!  you have a choice... not too hot (summer), not too cold(winter), rain OR sunny and hot(summer), sunny and cold(winter) with less rain.

Victoria ,BC always has spring first and winter last.
